How Long Do Coolsculpting Results Last?

Are you struggling with a few fat bulges?  Although diet and exercise may help, sometimes your body simply won’t let go of fat bulges in some areas. CoolSculpting can get rid of those trouble spots.  But how long do CoolSculpting results last?

What Is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a body contouring technology that uses a system of controlled cooling known as cryolipolysis to freeze away unwanted fat. There is little risk associated with CoolSculpting and it does not harm the surrounding skin and tissue.

When Will I See Results With CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting reduces fat in the treated area by 20-25%, but final results are not immediately visible.  Most patients start to see some improvement about 4 weeks after treatment, and it can take up to 4 months for the body to process and expel the treated fat cells.  In some cases, final results can take up to  6 months to show.

CoolSculpting works best on problem areas like the abdomen, flanks, upper arms, and thighs.

How Long Do CoolSculpting Results Last?

The results of CoolSculpting are long-term because once an area is treated and the fat cells die, they are gone for good.  That means there will always be fewer fat cells in that part of the body, so it’s possible to maintain your new shape for a long time.

If you gain weight after CoolSculpting no new fat cells will develop, but the existing fat cells will get bigger.  For this reason, it’s important to eat a healthy diet and get regular exercise to maintain the good results of CoolSculpting.

Ideal candidates for CoolSculpting are men and women that are near their ideal weight but have a few areas of stubborn fat they need to get rid of.  Candidates that are already committed to a healthy diet and exercise regimen typically maintain their results for several years.
