What Is A Brow Lift?

Are your eyebrows making your eyes sag or droop?  The eyebrows often shift downward with age and give the face a tired, angry look, but a brow lift can rejuvenate your eyes and refresh your appearance. But what is a brow lift?

What Is A Brow Lift?

A brow lift or forehead lift is a surgical procedure that raises the eyebrows and restores them to a more natural, youthful position.   It enhances the overall look of the face because it also addresses frown lines and forehead wrinkles.

A traditional brow lift or an endoscopic brow lift may be performed, depending on the aesthetic goals of the patient.

What Is An Endoscopic Brow Lift?

An endoscopic brow lift is a minimally invasive technique performed with the assistance of an endoscope.  An endoscope is a thin tube with a camera attached to the end of it.  The device allows the surgeon to see the tissue and muscles beneath the forehead clearly.

The endoscope is introduced through tiny incisions made behind the hairline.  During an endoscopic brow lift, a specialized instrument is used to lift the tissues of the brow and forehead, and realign the muscles as needed.

The endoscopic brow lift is a more attractive option for many patients because there is less risk of complications, less bruising, and minimal scarring after surgery.  There is also very little downtime, so patients can have the procedure done without disrupting their normal schedule.

Benefits Of A Brow Lift

  • Restores the natural arch of the eyebrows
  • Elevates sagging upper eyelids
  • Reduces forehead wrinkles and deep furrows between the brows
  • Reduces the appearance of crow’s feet (wrinkles at the corner of the eyes)

If you would like to address signs of aging on your forehead, a brow lift will elevate your brows and leave your face looking vibrant and more youthful.
